The mix of textures in their sushi keeps me coming back for more—it’s truly unique! The fried chicken was absolutely delicious, and their recommendation of 7 dishes for 3 people was spot on. We left feeling satisfied. The desserts fell a little short compared to the excellent main dishes though. We also enjoyed a bottle of white wine, The Little Odissea, which paired beautifully with the food. The staff were warm and friendly, offering great suggestions and making the experience even better. If you’re looking for Japanese cuisine that delivers an explosion of textures and flavors beyond what you’ll find at most sushi spots in Porto, this is the place to go.

Amazing tataki salmon and eel sushi. Also nice chicken. Interesting dimsam with curry shrimp and souce poured inside. Good ceviche but not my type of food afterall. Would love to come back to Portu just to visit this place once again. But have to notice that I was freezed inside the place with wind from outside / because of glass entrace door, that made me very uncomfortable. Crab for 17 eur was just a taste of friture, unfortunately. Music was nice.

Shiko is an absolute gem in Porto! As someone who visits the city often, I’ve tried many restaurants, but I always make sure to come back here. The sushi is simply outstanding—one of the best experiences I’ve ever had. The small, intimate setting gives it a warm, familiar charm, and the service is fantastic—friendly, attentive, and always ready with great recommendations. If you love sushi, this place is a must-visit. Easily one of my favorite restaurants anywhere!

After reading about the food and the chef in many top food articles, we’ve been wanting to try this spot for a while now! We lucked out with a reservation last night and now we understand the hype 🥲. We tried the marinated mackerel, classic gyoza, salmon tatami, ceviche nikkel, tori nanbam, spicy tuna maki, and the brownie and everything was unreal! The ceviche will be living in our heads rent free, forever. Absolutely delicious, packed with flavor. Everything was fresh and cooked to perfection. The 7 plates were overkill for 2 of us-we were stuffed and took food home. I’d recommend 4-5 plates + the dessert. And the person saying the waiter was dry and knocking off a star like a weirdo, there is only one person serving all the tables, it’s a lot of work. And he’s just more of an introvert but he’s super professional and polite, and actually very funny and nice when you talk to him. The ambience, music, food, vibe, everything, was 11/10.
